Atre: Dominance Wars is a strategy where you play as a Sorcerer who became an Elder. Your goal is to learn new spells, subdue your enemies and ascend to God. In the later stage of the game you can also get access to God spells which can change the map.
While doing that you will encounter The Merge that slowly destroys your playable area, there are ways to counter it by capturing those regions and binding them to your Throne which is your seat of power.
Betray or get betrayed (or prevent both) There are three ways to win the game, each of those victories brings certain risks.
Only one player can win the game
They can 100% expect betrayal from anyone in their empire once the victory count starts
This gives an interesting push and pull and the game stays intense until the end, as victories shift in the last moment , and allies betray you , or enemies start working together.
