A punishing roguelite dungeon crawler about a lone frog knight trying to climb a tower that's slowly corrupting the world around it. Fight through rooms of twisted creatures, discover powerful treasures to aid you, and uncover the secrets of the tower before it finishes what it started.
The Frog and the Tower is a punishing action roguelite dungeon crawler about a lone frog knight fighting his way up a corrupted, unpredictable tower. You must master fast-paced combat, loot powerful relics that reshape how you fight, and battle through rooms of twisted enemies and bosses standing between you and your mission to stop the corruption.
The Tower
A huge, imposing, and mysterious tower, filled with countless levels where procedural generation is mixed with hand-crafted rooms, ensuring no two runs, and no two levels, ever play the same. Fight, loot, and survive your way from the dilapidated Forgotten Dungeon, to the overgrown Verdant Ruins, to the fleshy, disturbing spaces deeper in Inside the Tower. Each biome brings new enemies, new dangers, and a boss standing between you and your ascent.
The Inhabitants
From former people twisted into something new, to creatures born from the tower itself, the inhabitants will stop at nothing to keep you from reaching what lies above. Fight through rooms of them across each level, adapt to their attacks, and take down each biome's boss to press deeper.
The Frog Knight
You play as a lone knight who was one day transformed into a frog after the effects of the tower’s corruption reached you. You set out on a journey to discover the source of this corruption, and stop it before it's too late. Armed with nothing but a sword, your wits, and whatever you can find in the tower, you'll need sharp reflexes and powerful builds to survive the countless trials within the tower.
The Items
Scattered throughout the tower are strange and powerful items conjured up by the tower itself, from ages old and new. On each level, you'll also find mysterious stalls offering various useful consumables in trade; a chance to prepare before pressing deeper. But it's the items themselves that matter most: each one shapes how you play, making you stronger, sometimes with a trade-off, and defining your build as you fend off enemies and make your ascent.
Why did the towers appear? What is becoming of the world? The higher you climb, the more the tower reveals; if you're strong enough to find out.
