A run-based FPS where the goal is simple: survive eight rounds of intense combat. Each round is a choice between how much you earn for upgrades and the number of enemies you'll face. Growth vs survivability.
Enter the arena of the deadliest blood sport on the planet: Who Wants to Rule the World. If you can survive all eight rounds against the onslaught of fallen heroes, beings from beyond, and machines designed purely for violence, then you might just win the biggest prize of all: your life. But that's a big if. One slip up, and it's back to the start.
Choose your starting weapon and contestant. Every new run starts with a simple choice: bolt-action rifle, a submachine gun, or a double-barrel shotgun. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. Speaking of which, each contestant also has their own plusses and minuses. Contestants come with two random inherited traits. One that will help you and one that will hurt you. And maybe a few that fall somewhere in between.
Regroup in the waiting room. After successfully not dying in a round, take some time to prepare or rethink your strategy in the waiting room. Here you can spend your earnings on various upgrades. Want more? Just raise the wager for the next round. But be careful, nothing here is free. Each time you increase the potential payout, another group of enemies is added to the upcoming round.
Chase higher scores, acquire rare permanent unlock tokens, and complete challenges. And that's it. Or is it? Are we doomed to just repeat the cycle over and over again? Probably.

WAS AI USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS GAME? No
IS THIS GAME IN EARLY ACCESS? No. This game is intentionally small in scope. If it happens to find an audience that wants to see more, I would be open to updating and adding to it. But as it stands, this is the full game.DOES THIS GAME WORK WITH STEAM DECK? I have tested it on Linux (via Proton), so I can at least say that works. Unfortunately, I do not have a Steam Deck, so I cannot verify that for sure or not.
