King Nimrod's fleet consists of his spaceships, buildings, attack helicopters, attack submarines, frigates, boats, rocket launcher equipped armored buggies, combat drones, aviation containers, etc.

2. THE STARFIGHTER video game is 2 games in 1-- it is a 3D combat flight simulator and a 3D space flight (astronautics) simulator.

4, You have a choice of choosing Griffin Starfighter Mk I or Griffin Starfighter Mk II with 2 different missiles to fly in the game. 

THE ORIGINAL SPACE STORY IN THE GAME:

You are Paladin, a heroic starfighter pilot who flies the legendary Griffin Starfighter. You are from a fictitious exoplanet called The Hive which is located light-years away from the Earth. The evil King Nimrod and his forces from an undisclosed exoplanet in a galaxy somewhere in the universe are conquering the universe. The leader of The Hive, Queen Crusher, opposes King Nimrod. You and your Radar-Intercept Officer code named Wizard now have to fly in the Griffin Starfighter and restore peace in the universe by vanquishing King Nimrod, all of his forces and all of his assets wherever they may be. The despicable King Nimrod and his forces are mechanical extra-terrestrial (E.T.) lifeforms known as the Raptorbots, while you (Paladin), Wizard and Queen Crusher are insectlike extra-terrestrial (E.T.) lifeforms known as the Hivians.

THE GRIFFIN STARFIGHTER SPECIFICATIONS:

The Griffin Starfighter Mk I is a sleek gold colored near-mirror surface finish two-seater in tandem, twin-tail, single rocket engine, extra-terrestrial multirole starfighter with control-canards, and double-delta wings. The Griffin Starfighter Mk II is a variant spacecraft colored orange, and having light cyan color at the wingtips. The laser cannons  of the Griffin Starfighter Mk II are located underwing and closer to the centerline of spacecraft. The Mk II variant is canardless, and is equipped with the Lynx Missiles. The Mk II variant is faster than the Griffin Starfighter Mk I, and the Lynx Missiles are faster and more lethal than Jaguar Missiles. The Griffin Starfighters can indeed glide in Earth's atmosphere. During spaceflight, the Griffin Starfighters use an Attitude Determination & Control System (ADCS) to change the attitude of the spacecraft. The Griffin Starfighters are equipped with a spaceworthy Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) dual axis multi-beam technology radar which gives its pilot instant situational awareness of the battlespace. The Griffin Starfighters also have Regenerating Shields and a Turbo Speed Thrust Level rocket motors. The Griffin Starfighters' canopies are an all-plastic design. The angled airframe of the Griffin Starfighters also have radar stealth (low observable) characteristics, like the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor and the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk, to deflect radar signals. The design of the Griffin Starfighters is such that it has a low radar signature. The Griffin Starfighter Mk I is equipped with wingtip mounted High Energy Laser Cannons directed-energy weapon and the Jaguar Fire-And-Forget Missiles. The current Griffin Starfighter models have no flare and chaff dispensers.

THE FIRE-AND-FORGET MISSILES OF THE GRIFFIN STARFIGHTER:

The Griffin Starfighter's Fire-And-Forget Missiles are beyond-visual-range missiles. The Jaguar Missiles (used only in the Griffin Starfighter Mk I spacecraft) have warheads that produce more than 300 pounds penetrating blast fragmentation explosive force.

The Lynx Missiles have warheads that produce more than 500 pounds penetrating blast fragmentation explosive force.  The Lynx Missiles fly faster than the Jaguar Missiles. Both the Jaguar and Lynx Missiles' engines are solid rocket motors. The fuze type of both missiles is impact fuze.

This video game is a Linked Missions Action Game. The player must complete each combat mission before advancing to the next one. In each mission the player must destroy all enemy targets. This game has a non-linear option, which means you can start at any of the 11 missions and you don't have to start at first mission (the Stonehenge Mission).

You have a choice to fly 2 different Griffin Starfighters complete with different missiles.

The storyline in THE STARFIGHTER is similar to the storyline in the Starcom: The U.S. Space Force cartoon series which was produced by DIC Animation City.

One similarity between the Star Trek: Picard TV series and THE STARFIGHTER video game is that there is a mission in THE STARFIGHTER in which you (Paladin) fly to Jupiter in the Solar System.

Some elements in THE STARFIGHTER game are the same as in the American TV series Space: Above And Beyond, such as wormholes, extra-terrestrials and exoplanets.

Furthermore, this video game was designed and developed based on the actual Saab JAS 39 Gripen E light single-engine multirole jet fighter, the Saab JAS 39 Gripen E-simulator in the Swedish Air Force Museum (Flygvapenmuseum) in Malmen Airbase in Malmslätt in Sweden.

THE STARFIGHTER is a war game. The battles in this video game are intense, Star Warslike and Star Treklike. The aerial combat in THE STARFIGHTER is like in the movies Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick.

This video game was created in more than 1 year's time-- it took more than a year in total to make this arcade game.

The gunsight or crosshairs in THE STARFIGHTER does not move. This is unlike Electronic Arts's Star Wars: Battlefront II and Sega's After Burner: Climax.

PLAYING THE GAME:

Game Controllers:

You can use a Wireless/Wired XBox Gamepad/XBox-compatible Gamepad and Mouse & Keyboard to play THE STARFIGHTER.

For Gamepad Control:

Use the Left Thumbstick/Gamepad D-Pad to change the flight direction of the Griffin Starfighter.

Use the Right Thumbstick to speed up or slow down the Griffin Starfighter.

Pressing the Left Shoulder fires the Laser Cannons.

Pressing the Right Shoulder launches the Missiles.

Pressing the X-Button changes the view to Looking Backwards View. 

Pressing the Y-Button changes the view to Zoom View. 

Pressing the B-Button changes the view to Normal View. 

Pressing the A-Button pauses the game.

For Mouse & Keyboard Control:

To fly the Griffin Starfighter, you must move your Mouse to change the pitch, roll and yaw angles of the spaceship, and press the Spacebar/Control keys on your keyboard to speed up or slow down the spaceship.

You can have the normal view by pressing the 3 key on your keyboard.

You can zoom in to a target by pressing the 2 key on your keyboard. This features helps in the shooting of small targets.

You can look backwards of the Griffin Starfighter by pressing the 1 key on your keyboard. This feature helps you make a judgement if you have destroyed a target that you have flown by or you haven't.

You can pause the game while playing the game by pressing the P key on your keyboard. You can quit the game by clicking on the Quit button with your mouse once you have paused the game.

To shoot the Griffin Starfighter's laser cannons, press the Left Mouse Button.

To launch missiles, press the Right Mouse Button.

In this video game, you must be flying all the time. If you have stopped flying by crashing into an object (such as the ground), you must uncrash yourself so that you are flying again.

You are given 3 lives for each combat mission, and unlimited fire-and-forget missiles. Moreover, there are no power-ups in this video game because the Griffin Starfighter has regenerating shields.

From the Main Menu, begin by selecting the Select Starfighter button. At the Select Starfighter Sub-menu, choose one of the 2 Griffin Starfighters available-- the Mk I or Mk II. Then, at the Missions Sub-menu, choose a combat mission to fly. 

At the start of each combat mission, you will be given orders from the Command Center and you will also be escorted by a Griffin Starfighter Mk II. 

You must destroy King Nimrod, his Runway 34, blast pad, hangars, large parabolic satellite communications (SatCom) antennas, attack helicopters, submarines, frigates, boats, water reservoirs, Nimrod Armada Fighters, gigantic Spacecraft Carriers, large Transport Spaceships, gigantic Nimrod Cruisers, brick walls, lightpoles, huge Fletcher Laser-Guided Rocket (LGR) Launcher equipped Armored Buggies, Nimrod unmanned combat aerial systems (NImrod UCAS's), taxibots, large aviation containers, air traffic control tower with weather radar, buildings, etc.

There are lots of enemies both combatant and non-combatant for you to shoot at in this game.

You must also avoid shooting friendly sensors-equipped satellites that are orbiting the planets in LEO.

At the end of each combat mission, except for the Jupiter mission, you are required to fly through a Portal. You have to cause the Portal to materialize in each combat mission. The Portal will materialize when you destroy all enemies and all man-made structures (constructs) in each mission. You will be transported to another location in the universe when you fly the Griffin Starfighter into a Portal. The Portals are Wormholes that transport the Griffin Starfighter and its occupants Astronomical Units (AU's) or megaparsecs from its current position in deep space. You must fly into the Portal to advance to the next stage/mission in the game.

Onscreen, you will find the Griffin Starfighter's Velocity Indicator, Horizon Bar, Pitch Ladder, Heading, Direction Indicator, Vertical Speed, Regenerating Shields Indicator, Gunsight, Enemy/Friendly Targeting Indicator, Current Mission Display, Starfighter Pilot Information Display, Your Score and the Lives Left. This is the Helmet-Mounted Display (HMD) or HUD of the starfighter.

If you are able to vanquish King Nimrod and his forces, you and Wizard will be summoned by Queen Crusher to her Royal Palace on The Hive planet. There Queen Crusher will reward you and Wizard with medals and knighthoods.

To pilot the Griffin Starfighter, you need to have marksmanship skills and good hand-eye coordination. You must aim and then shoot at all enemy targets in the battlespace. Some of the enemies in this game are petite.

In the video game, you can change the attitude of the Griffin Starfighters remotely in the, "3D Viewing Rooms."

In THE STARFIGHTER video game, you have to be accurate in your aiming of the Griffin Starighter's laser cannons and missiles. If not, the onscreen targets will not be destroyed. Remember that you are always moving in this video game. Due to the fact that you are always moving during missions, THE STARFIGHTER has a video game difficulty level. It is harder to shoot at a target while you are moving than shooting at a target while you are standing still.

Only two outcomes are possible in THE STARFIGHTER game-- either you defeat the evil King Nimrod and his forces or you are destroyed by King Nimrod and his forces.

STRATEGY:

· Put your crosshairs or gunsight on the enemy and fire at will.

· Configure your starfighter's velocity setting and get the aerial attack angle to pulverize your adversary in mid-air.

· Come up with tactics to win every combat mission. There are plenty of missions in the game. 

· Destroy all enemies and all man-made structures (constructs) in the Earth-- The Airport combat mission.

· In all space missions, search and destroy all enemies in the mission.
