You are the youngest son of a lesser king and you are the last in line to inherit the throne, so you asked your father your share of legacy and you received resources and silver and you left to colonize an island.

A ship brought you here with some starting resources and some colonists who wanted to join you.

You will lead your colony as a Mycenaean King during the Late Bronze Age. Your mission is to develop your colony into a prosper one and defend against pirates and enemies when needed.

To unlock buildings and items you will have to research techs, make reforms (they work like royal edicts) and set policies to govern your island.

The intention is to create a realistic immersion, therefore the game is slow paced; it will take time to develop your colony and become powerful.

To construct buildings and manage your colony you will mostly use the top down view, while handling matters as a king you'll have the third-person (we're also considering first-person) view.

Survival for colonists and you

Colonists will have to eat, drink, use firewood for cooking and heating and have shelter, and so will you.

Since you are the king, colonists will take care of all your needs: they'll cook your food and fetch your drinks, cut firewood and make sure it burns in the stove, etc. You will have to consume food and water in order to survive.

You also have your own royal residence.

Trading

Trade is an important feature in this game; your colony will extract, produce or import raw materials, craft goods and export them to merchants visiting your island with their trade ships.

In exchange for exporting goods your colony will get silver.

Your colony can also import goods, including for self-consumption, add value to your items and make profit.

Trading is automated based on import-export policies and buy and sell offers from your buildings.

Research

To unlock buildings and new items you will have to research techs in the library.

Historical concerns

This game is inspired by historical events from the Late Bronze Age.

We'll try to include as many aspects as we can, but many times we'll have to speculate about things or introduce different aspects to give some variety in the game; for example, we'll have clothing or ship designs that might not be historical accurate for this time period.

We wanted this game to be realistic and that creates immersion during gameplay, but the game should also be fun.

Alternate history

We wanted to add things that weren't invented during these times; for example we think they could have invented soap very early: you just need olive oil and wood ash.
