In the Hyper Strike universe a force known as The Collective has attacked humanity. It is unknown where they are from but it is clear they want any and all technology to add to their forces. Humanity was able to beat them back from the core established planets. The outer systems are now serving as a refuge for The Collective as they regroup and rebuild. It is up to you to clear them out and defend humanity while the weakened core forces recover!
