Players start with a humble Stone Age settlement. The game progresses through different ages, each offering unique challenges and opportunities. Players must gather resources, cultivate crops, develop tools, and advance their civilization. They'll evolve from primitive societies to global superpowers, equipped with modern technology like nuclear weapons, tanks, rockets, and towering skyscrapers.

These challenges include disease outbreaks, pandemics, barbarian invasions, and even supernatural occurrences like undead uprisings or alien invasions, depending on the chosen map or preferences.



Technological Advancements

Research plays a crucial role in the game's progression. Starting with rudimentary tools like clubs and spears, players gradually advance their civilizations by unlocking technologies such as iron and bronze making, gunpowder, nuclear missiles, and space travel. Each technological leap opens up new possibilities and units, significantly affecting the course of the game.



Happiness and Civil Unrest

Maintaining happiness among your citizens is paramount. Happiness can be gained by trading luxury resources or through other in-game means. However, it can be lost through defeats in battles, the death of soldiers, the demise of citizens, or the destruction of buildings. Civil unrest poses a constant threat and can spread through regions with distant buildings or units. Players must manage civil unrest carefully, especially when transitioning between different government systems and ideologies.
