Return no. 38

Martin knows the route by heart: the flooded crossing, the four empty streets, the shuttered supermarket at the end of the road. He has made this trip thirty-seven times.

He knows the route by heart. That is the problem.

What it is

• Fog. The town gives you twelve metres at a time. Everything past that is a rumour.

• No arsenal. A knife, a pistol, and never enough bullets. Knowing when to run matters more than knowing how to fight.

• Three days. The same streets, three times over. Something has moved each time.

• PS1. Vertex wobble, affine texture warping, dithered fog. Rendered wrong on purpose.

A story, not a sandbox

A linear, story-driven survival horror in third person, inspired by the classics of the late 90s. Explore, scavenge, solve what blocks your way, and decide every time whether a fight is worth the ammo.

He will go back. That was never in question.

VIRAR is made by one person in Colombia.
