Aeterna Lucis is our purest metroidvania yet, and the sequel Aeterna Noctis fans have been waiting for. Step into the role of the Queen of Light, explore a vast interconnected world, awaken new powers and push further and further in a hand-drawn adventure crafted with the stained-glass art of the Aeterna Universe.

New to the saga? Start here. Aeterna Lucis is the sequel to Aeterna Noctis and continues its story, but it can be your first game in the Aeterna Universe. And if you fall in love with it, play Aeterna Noctis afterwards to uncover many more details of the story.

For the first time, two ways to experience Aeterna:

• Aeterna Mode · Pure Metroidvania: a balanced experience between exploration and combat, perfect for adventure lovers. Recommended for most players and for discovering Aeterna Lucis for the first time.
• Lucis Mode · NoctisVania: far more intense platforming challenges and relentless bosses. Designed for hardcore players, or for a second adventure after Aeterna Mode.

Golden cities suspended among the clouds, jungles that awaken at night, forgotten temples, caves of sand and rock, and depths bathed in light. A huge interconnected map, full of secrets, alternative routes and side quests, that invites you to get lost and come back stronger.

• A vast, connected world: every region has its own identity, its own inhabitants and its own dangers.
• Secrets everywhere: hidden paths, optional challenges and rewards for those who explore every corner.
• Allies and quests: gather support to stop the collapse of Aeterna.

The Queen of Light moves with an agility never seen before in the saga. Awaken brand-new abilities, combine them at your own pace and discover how far you can go.

• Precise movement: dash, jumps and traversal with far more polished controls.
• New abilities: offensive and passive powers that expand the way you explore and fight.

An agile combat system, weapons exclusive to the Queen of Light and final bosses that are a visual, sonic and gameplay spectacle.

Stained-glass art and hand-drawn detail in every setting, every enemy and every character. The entire Aeterna Universe pulses with a single style, accompanied by a soundtrack that ranges from the most epic to the most serene.

After the ending of Aeterna Noctis, the balance between Light and Darkness has been broken. The Queen of Light awakens alone in a world on the brink of the abyss and must challenge the Supreme God Chaos to uncover the truth about the curse of the two monarchs.

Dialogues, item descriptions and environmental storytelling enrich the story without ever slowing your progress. Every corner holds a new detail about the Aeterna Universe.
