The sun has died. The world drowns in eternal night. A dying angel has placed the last light in your hands — a relic blade that cuts through darkness.

Descend into the ruins. Carve through the demons that took the sun. Make it look good.

Sun Is Dead is a character-action rogue-lite — combat with the depth of a stylish action game, inside a run-based structure where every death reshapes the dungeon, and every run reshapes you. Built for fans of Devil May Cry-style combat and Hades-style builds.

⚔ STYLE IS SURVIVAL

Chain instant light strings into crushing heavies. Launch enemies skyward and keep them there. Break their footing and slam them through walls. Read the telegraphs — parry the red, dodge the orange — and answer grabs that punish cowards who hide behind block. Your style rank climbs from D to SSS as you fight with variety and flow, and it isn't just for show: some of your most powerful upgrades only switch on while you fight beautifully.

🔫 THE LAST LIGHT HAS A TRIGGER

Aiming slows the world. Your chamber holds three shots — spend them on the yellow-glowing weakpoints that armor can't hide, then reload before the dark closes in. Gunslinger builds turn three bullets into a storm.

🦶 BREAK THEIR FOOTING

Every enemy stands on a white ring of footing. Kicks and heavy blows drain it. Empty it, and they fall — open to be launched into the air or slammed across the arena. Brute force won't drop the biggest demons. Breaking their footing will.

💀 DESTROY THE HEART OR THEY RISE AGAIN

The demons of the eternal night do not stay dead. Drop one, and its burning heart tears free of the corpse — destroy it before the timer runs out, or the demon rises to fight again. Every kill is a two-part decision, and the horde doesn't wait while you decide.

📖 THE INFERNAL CODEX

Between fights, the Codex offers power across seven schools — pressure, precision, aerial mastery, gunslinging, heartbreaking, survival, and infernal fire. Stack passives, unlock abilities that key off your style rank, and chase reactive powers that trigger mid-combat. Commit deeply to one path, and the Codex answers with secrets it never advertises.

🏰 A DUNGEON THAT TEACHES — AND TESTS

Nine floors across three biomes, rebuilt every run. Every floor drills a skill — precision, aerial control, parry timing, patience — and every floor's boss is the exam. Find hidden rooms, trap gauntlets, locked vaults, and chests worth fighting for. Nine bosses stand between you and the truth, and the last one studies the way you've built your power — then turns it against you.
