Subject: Escape Corporate Tyranny

Dear Cicadas,

It’s time to emerge and resist oppressive corporations. Your journey under the stars will undoubtedly be difficult, and when the going gets hard, hope may be the only thing to carry you through to the future. As the captain aptly or perhaps ironically named Agatha Hope, can you be that for your ragtag crew of misfits and revolutionaries? Build relationships with your crew, discover what cards they’re holding close to their hearts, and keep your wits about you through dialogue choices, puzzle-solving, and minigames.

                  :::::::::::::::::::::::::::: MISSION BRIEFING ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

NexxusCorp’s grasp on humanity has gone too far. It’s time to rise up, take a stand,  and fly free. You are Agatha Hope, a member of the resistance called the Cicadas, and in charge of a new mission to seize NexxusCorp employee Dr. Mariko Nishimura and steal one of the company’s spaceships.

Your job as captain is to make hard choices. Will you listen to your heart, use logic, or turn towards ruthlessness? Choose carefully. For every decision, a consequence follows .

                  :::::::::::::::::::::::::::: CREW DIRECTORY ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

People are a little bit like ships, you only discover what they are made of when a storm hits their sails. Everyone in your crew has joined the Cicadas for a reason. Almost everyone* “joined,” that is. They carry their reasons and ghosts from the past, making for a rather crowded space with unseen influences rubbing against each other. Friction will be unavoidable. As their captain, you’ll need to wade into the torrential waters of interpersonal relationships and learn what motivates each of them.

A short summary of your crew’s dossier is included below.

Sabah: Cyber-medicine specialist. Your ride-or-die.

Roberto: Bio-Enhanced human in charge of engineering and strategy.

Donny: Computer genius., Cicadas double agent working at Nexxus Corp.

*Mariko: Terraforming expert from NexxusCorp. You need to, let's put it this way, “forcibly recruit her”.

Subject: One More Thing

The heart of this game is the story of your crew. It is full of conflict, driven by characters battling their own self-doubt, looking for their place in the universe. It is a story of forgiveness, betrayals, and the hope that finding a new family might be the only thing that really matters even when the world collapses around them.
