Resprite is a professional editor for pixel art, sprite animation, and game asset creation, with an integrated workflow for drawing, animation, layers, palettes, and export.

======== Recent Update Highlights ========

Tilesets & Tilemap Layers

Create, edit, import, and manage tilesets, select tiles from the Tileset window, and draw maps directly on Tilemap Layers. Support for rectangular, isometric, and hexagonal grids, terrain rules, tile animation, Tiled TMX/TSX import, and Tiled Map export provides an integrated workflow from tileset authoring to map construction.

Layer Styles

Non-destructive Stroke and hard-edged Shadow effects stay editable as layer content changes, making outlines, UI sprites, and pixel shadows easier to refine. When the result needs to become fixed pixels, the style can be rasterized.

Isometric and Hexagonal Tiled Mode

Tiled Mode now supports isometric diamond and hexagonal grids. When creating game floors, terrain tiles, looping backgrounds, or other non-rectangular repeat assets, you can inspect the repeat and seams directly while drawing.

======== Core Feature Overview ========

Drawing Tools

Pixel-perfect lines, Alpha Lock, dithering textures, custom brushes, gradients, and symmetry tools for a professional pixel-art workflow.

Custom Brush Library

Create reusable brushes from selections, images, or folders, organize them in the Brush Library, and speed up texture work with tiling, alignment, and active-color drawing.

File Format Support

Import and export Aseprite, PSD, GIF, sprite sheets, and more.

Text Tool

Create crisp pixel lettering, HUD icons, and reusable glyph sets with Resprite Fonts, or use TTF/OTF for titles, multiline labels, and vertical text.

Palettes & Color Picking

Color & Outline Refinement

Fine-tune pixel art with precise outlines and color edits, including HSV, brightness/contrast, opacity, color replacement, palette quantization, blur, and invert/grayscale.

Animation & Onion Skin

Manage frames, layers, clips, playback, and onion skin overlays for smooth pixel animation.

Clipping Masks & Blend Modes

Keep colors, textures, highlights, and shadows inside existing shapes with flexible layer compositing.

Workspace & Interface Customization

Customize themes, floating windows, saved layouts, layout reset, and layout locking so drawing, palette work, and animation each fit your workspace.

Cursor Packs & Cursor Export

On desktop, manage and customize cursor packs, edit hotspots, and export Windows .cur/.ani cursor files for polished custom cursors.

Bead Patterns & Color Codes

Export pixel art as bead pattern references with minor and major grids, palette color labels, and usage counts for easier bead planning.

Timelapse Recording

Record the drawing process and export polished timelapse videos with playback speed, loop, magnification, and bitrate controls.
