• Travel across the expansive ocean world and navigate treacherous waters as you seek vital resources and information that can help you survive and escape, building and sending out freighters and recon craft to explore the islands, cities, and points of interest that dot the planet. 

• Progress through objectives and side-quests to unlock technological advances that in turn enable you to achieve additional objectives, but be careful of the choices you make along the way. Your decisions determine what options become available to you when engaging with the world, what buildings and production chains you’ll be able to establish, and how smoothly your expedition progresses for any given run. 

• Learn as much as you can about the planet before it overwhelms and destroys you, engaging with unique narrative events and interacting with indigenous species to unlock information and progression that can aid in future runs.

As your R&D labs find ways to exploit the local environment, you’ll periodically be presented with choices of technological advances, each unlocking new buildings that tap into or provide additional resources for your expedition and its crew.

• Solar panels and the batteries that power your infrastructure, farms that produce various kinds of food, housing for your crew, and factories that manufacture construction material, mining tools, defensive equipment and more – there are over 80 building options that can influence your run in various ways. Unlock unique combinations and opportunities under the right circumstances, taking advantage of adjacency bonuses as you work with limited space and challenging layouts.

• Establish production chains with interchangeable resources that best suit what you’re able to find and acquire, all while carefully managing the various needs of your people and the ship alike, from food and entertainment to power for various essential components.

• Space is limited on the ship, forcing you to choose between available options, and improper planning can lead to more precarious layouts – as the ocean responds to your presence, an imbalanced ship will capsize more readily, and without redundancies, you might find yourself powerless or otherwise incapacitated after a particularly vicious attack. Experiment with unique combinations of buildings, layouts, and resources to unlock powerful synergies and secure your future.
