For cycle after cycle, humanity has searched for a commander capable of breaking the simulation. Everyone who tried before you failed. Now it's your turn.

Protocol Aegirum is a turn-based strategy game that combines the precision of chess with the tension of a roguelike. Every ship in your fleet moves like a chess piece, every decision matters, and a single defeat sends you back to the beginning.

Key features

• Chess turned into space combat: six ship classes, from the Gunboat to the Dreadnought, each with the moves of a chess piece. All the real rules are here: castling, en passant and promotion. Protect your Capital Ship at all costs.

• A campaign that never plays the same way twice: five sectors with route maps generated every run. Choose your path through battles, events, markets and reinforcements.

• Build your fleet: recover Synthite from every victory and spend it on new ships and doctrines. Deploy your ships before each battle.

• Doctrines that change how you play: undo a fatal move by your Capital Ship, start each sector with extra ships, earn more resources, or win the moment the enemy Capital Ship is left unprotected.

• An opponent at your level: the enemy thinks with Stockfish, one of the strongest chess engines in the world, tuned across six difficulty levels, from Cadet to Warden of the Void.

• Standard mode: a classic game of chess against Stockfish, with your fleet as the pieces.

• A story revealed sector by sector: what is the simulation, really, and who is on the other side?

• And more: 27 Steam achievements, 14 languages and space music by Stellardrone.

Adapt. Survive. Break the cycle.
