I've had the same dream every night since the moon fell.

There is a house in the void of night.

I/we sleep on the rust.

I/we hear the knocking in the walls.

I/we feel the heat from the furniture.

and I hyperventilate to wake up.

Now, after years of searching, I've finally found it.

The house from the dream is real.

A mysterious house calls out from our dreams

The House Dreams Along With Them is a first person puzzle adventure with an emphasis on interactivity: pick up, tap, click, throw, twist, consensually takeover, tinker, and intuit puzzle solutions while dreaming in the different rooms of the house. Solving a room inside a lucid dream makes it real in the house.

But each awakened room brings us one step closer to the enigmatic reification of night.

An adventure inspired by non-violent, atmospheric forebears

THDAWT is a game about solving puzzles in a mysterious house inspired by puzzle adventures such as Myst, The Witness, The Room, and real life escape rooms. Use our intuition and curiosity to find the secrets in each dream realm. An inquisitive mind that can think logically, abstractly, and meta-narratively and (possibly) a notepad will be all we need to complete the adventure.

A challenge for those that love investigating mysteries

Each dream realm has its own logic that does not rely on outside knowledge to complete. We won't need to know how to interpret semaphore flags or how to find spectrogram images inside audio files in order to succeed. This also means that quick reflexes and manual dexterity aren't needed to solve any puzzles. If we find a way to do a perfect crouching jump to bypass a puzzle - then that's great! But, complicated first person parkour will never be required to progress. There is always a subtle or clever solution that needs only a curious disposition to discover.

Atmosphere heightened by chill beats and guest musicians

Each puzzle room in THDAWT has a bespoke soundtrack. One puzzle will have an ethereal downtempo groove as Phillip Glass inspired arpeggios shape a contemplative melody. Another puzzle will have a dark ambient soundscape with off putting industrial scrapes evoking the work of Akira Yamaoka. And yet another puzzle will have a boisterous orchestral trance song set in a 7/4 time signature! Two pieces of music on the game's soundtrack are contributed by Akuma KIRA, the creator of Lost In Vivo.

In the dream, I/we see a house.

A/our voice whispers beneath the floor:

"The Lid, The Ring, The Point, The Focus"

The One Who Is Me and Not Me falls asleep

and The House Dreams Along With Them
