THE PRICE OF THE AMERICAN DREAM

You play as Janek, an immigrant pushed to the edge. You came to America looking for a better life. Instead, you find yourself trapped between gangs, debt and violence. This is not a story about an untouchable mafia boss.

It's a desperate fight for survival. Earn money. Pay your debts, treat your wounds, build your reputation and try not to lose your humanity along the way.

A CITY THAT DOESN'T WAIT FOR YOU

Welcome to a 1990s city inspired by New York, The streets Blackwood are a closed, reactive ecosystem. Gangs fight for territory and cops respond to crimes independently of your actions. Witness a robbery? You can intervene, loot the dead, or just walk away. The world moves on with or without you.

TACTICAL BRUTALITY

Combat is fast, brutal and unforgiving.

Positioning is everything.

Use cover. Move between positions. Listen for footsteps. Watch for muzzle flashes in the darkness.

Cover can be destroyed.

Enemies won't always be visible. Sometimes you'll hear them before you see them.

Every bullet matters. Every wound has a cost and in this city, one mistake can be the difference between walking away and ending up dead.

YOU CAME TO AMERICA FOR A BETTER LIFE.

KEY FEATURES:

• Combat isn’t everything, observe the world: The game isn't solely about direct confrontation. Gain the upper hand through careful observation, tracking NPC routines, and connecting the dots. Use gathered information to find alternative solutions, avoid threats, or manipulate the situation to your advantage.

• A living, systemic world: Explore 1990s BLackwood, which functions independently of your actions. Events unfold without your involvement, police react to violence, and the environment visually changes based on the crime rate and faction control.

• Dynamic reputation and turf wars: The city is divided into districts controlled by warring factions. Your actions shape your relationships with gangs and specific NPCs – building a reputation with one group automatically affects how others perceive you.

• Moral grayness and real consequences: The story and gameplay combine to build an experience of the protagonist's gradual moral descent. There are no strictly "good" choices, and actions taken for the "greater good" can often make your situation worse.
