What cannot be saved must be surrendered.

Our time is up. There is nothing left to gain.

To see the world again we must first be forgotten.

The only way is through the void which looms above our souls.

—Priestess of the Voidbound movement

Black Parallax is a top-down timeloop mystery where a black hole eats another piece of the world every time you travel.

• At the speed of light you don't experience time, while everything else does.

• Choose your destinations carefully. Every detour will cost the world years.

• Make mistakes, gather clues, waste your jumps, start each life with a different goal.

• Manually orbit a miniature artificial star.

• Navigate a pitch-black absorption nebula.

• Crawl through the ruins of a transhumanist civilization.

• Scan and mimic technology the colony left behind.

• Bypass old challenges with newfound abilities.

• ... just what are you then?

• Meet stragglers, depressed machines, death cultists, reclusive researchers and ruthless scavengers.

• Dig for answers and help them cope with the fate of their world.

• Find out why they're still here, if there's nothing left to gain.
