In The Hour: Echoes of the Crescent, players step into shoes of Alex Turner, an aspiring paranormal investigator eager to prove himself. When Alex receives an unexpected invitation from the Hotel Manager of the enigmatic Meridian Hotel, he seizes the opportunity to embark on his first major case. The Meridian, notorious for its dark history of unethical experiments and recent mysterious disappearances, has been temporarily closed to guests, with only minimal staff remaining.

Alex soon finds out that The Meridian Hotel hides more than just ghosts. Follow Alex on his adventure as an amateur paranormal investigator as he stumbles into a web of secrets, puzzles, and hauntings that will test his courage and unravel a mystery close to his heart.

Every corridor of the Meridian Hotel tells a story. From grand Victorian halls to forgotten service tunnels and hidden experimental chambers, players are encouraged to explore slowly and deliberately. Environmental storytelling, subtle visual cues, and layered sound design reward curiosity, revealing fragments of the hotel’s past without ever breaking immersion.

Puzzles are grounded in the Meridian Hotel itself. Players solve deliberate, environmental challenges inspired by the building’s architecture and history, realigning mechanisms, deciphering coded notes, discover and solve hidden rooms, restoring power systems, and navigating maze-like layouts. Each solution feels earned and rooted in narrative logic rather than abstraction.

The Meridian Hotel creates an engaging and immersive atmosphere. Light, sound, and space work together to create a constant sense of unease, where silence is just as threatening as a jump scare or sudden noise. Flickering light fixtures, distant footsteps, whispered voices, and unexplained movement respond subtly to the player’s presence, creating the feeling of being watched even when nothing is visible. Horror in The Hour: Echoes of the Crescent is psychological, slow-burn, and inescapable. It is designed to linger long after the screen goes dark.
