What is friendship? Well, according to Wikipedia, friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between people. It is a stronger form of interpersonal bond than an "acquaintance" or an "association", such as a classmate, neighbour, coworker, or colleague. The understanding of friendship by children tends to be focused on areas such as common activities, physical proximity, and shared expectations. Such friendships provide opportunity for playing and practicing self-regulation.

As friends, you love each other for what and who you are. You don't require them to be someone else, nor do you set qualifications for them to acquire just for you to be friends. Meanwhile, romantic love has categories. You develop a type, and you tend to settle for a person who hits your checklist.

That is why I wonder why Jessica is with Chris?

Friend love is platonic love. It's a love that means you care for someone, they are important to you, and you are connected to them emotionally, but you do not have romantic feelings for them. Friendly love can also be the love experienced through camaraderie or a connection with people at work.
