You release multiple balls into an arena, they bounce all over the place, hit bumpers, and turn everything into coins. With that money, you upgrade everything: make the balls faster, increase hit value, add more bumpers, throw even more balls into the arena… BOOM: the numbers explode and the game clearly was not built to respect that many zeros.
