Horn of the Walord

Become a Viking warlord and forge a kingdom through conquest, expansion and war. Lead armies across a fractured medieval world, seize territory, besiege castles and outmaneuver rival rulers in a turn-based strategy game where every decision matters and every victory is earned.

Follow the journey of Jarl Eirik Stormborn and his sworn companion Torvald Ironhand as they leave Ravenmark behind and set sail in search of glory, wealth and new lands to conquer.

Build a Kingdom through conquest

Begin with a small realm and rapidly expand your influence across neighboring lands. Secure resources, grow your population and transform a modest stronghold into a kingdom capable of dominating the world.

Every region strengthens your war effort, providing the resources needed to sustain armies, develop castles and fuel further expansion.

• Conquer and control strategically valuable territories
• Grow your population and economy
• Secure food, wood, stone, iron and gold
• Expand across diverse landscapes and terrain
• Turn a minor kingdom into a dominant power

Outsmart your enemies

Victory belongs to the ruler who plans ahead.

Success depends on choosing the right battles, building effective armies and striking at the perfect moment. Terrain, army composition, troop readiness and timing can determine the fate of entire kingdoms.

Whether launching a lightning invasion or preparing for a prolonged war, every campaign demands careful planning.

• Counter enemy armies with superior compositions
• Exploit terrain advantages during campaigns
• Manage army readiness and fatigue
• Choose when to advance and when to regroup
• Master the art of strategic warfare

Besiege castles and break kingdoms

Castles are the backbone of every realm.

Upgrade fortifications to strengthen your defenses, unlock stronger units and secure your borders. When the time comes to attack, every siege becomes a strategic challenge requiring careful preparation and the right tools for the job.

A poorly planned assault can cost an army. A well-executed siege can bring down an empire.

• Build and upgrade powerful castles
• Unlock stronger military units
• Assault enemy strongholds using ladders, battering rams and trebuchets
• Adapt siege tactics to every situation
• Capture heavily fortified regions

Face a fair but ruthless AI

Every kingdom plays by the same rules.

The AI receives no free armies, hidden resources or artificial advantages. It expands, recruits, attacks and defends using the same systems available to the player.

If you lose, it is because your opponent outplayed you.

• No cheating AI
• No hidden bonuses
• Strategic decision-making driven by risk and reward
• Three difficulty levels for different experience levels
• Challenging opponents that reward mastery
