About This Game

Enter Thalmir. Grow in power, choose your path, and leave your mark on a land divided by Orders, factions and war.

Thalmir is a Mediterranean island of cities, villages, ruins, caves and strongholds, where ambition, conflict and hidden forces shape the fate of the land.

In Umbrae Ordinis, progression is at the heart of the experience. Build your character through combat, exploration and discovery, pursue optional paths through the Orders of Thalmir, and carve your place in a world where power is earned through action.

Explore ancient places, take on dangerous quests, and push deeper into the island’s struggles as you uncover the hidden truth at the heart of Thalmir.

Forge Your Build

Shape your character through class-based progression, hybrid builds, abilities, weapon actions and weapon stances.

Classes open different paths of growth, while weapon-based combat styles add their own actions and tactical identity. This creates room for both specialization and hybrid builds, allowing your fighting style to evolve over time.

Each weapon type comes with its own stances, changing the rhythm, purpose and tactical use of combat. Some stances reward aggression, others strengthen defense or evasive play, allowing the same weapon to support different approaches in battle.

You can unlock many abilities over time, but only equip a limited selection at once, making each build a deliberate choice.

Explore Thalmir

Travel across forests, rocky coasts, lakes, rivers, mountain paths, cities and remote settlements inspired by Mediterranean landscapes.

Delve into dungeons, caves, mines and forgotten ruins in search of loot, resources, knowledge and new ways to grow stronger. Exploration is tightly tied to progression: what you discover in the world can expand your options, improve your build, and open new paths forward.

Follow the Orders — Or Don’t

The Orders of Thalmir offer optional paths of advancement, each with its own identity, questlines and rewards.

By following an Order, you can rise through its ranks, earn exclusive benefits, and unlock new opportunities for character growth. Or you can forge your strength elsewhere through exploration, combat, faction allegiance and story progression.

Shape the Balance of Power

Thalmir is a contested land where rival factions struggle for influence, territory and control.

Choose who to support, rise through faction ranks, and gain advantages tied to your allegiance. Through assassinations, raids, prison breaks, covert operations, and attacks on settlements, outposts and strongholds, you can help reshape the island’s territorial balance.

Faction conflict is not just background lore — it is one of the main ways power shifts across Thalmir.

In Umbrae Ordinis, a personal promise leads you into the heart of Thalmir’s darkest secret. Explore the island, uncover what the Orders have buried, and face a question with no easy answers: how far is too far when it comes to protecting the world?
