Beyond The Gate is a medieval extraction adventure inspired by Welsh folklore, history and landscape.

Leave the safety of Caerwyn Castle to hunt, explore and gather valuable supplies from the dangerous world beyond its walls. Every journey is a gamble: the further you travel, the greater the potential reward — but you must make it back before the gates close at nightfall.

Fail to return, and everything you carried beyond the walls may be lost.

A World Inspired by Wales

Discover locations and stories influenced by Welsh folklore, history and landscape, from ancient legends to forgotten figures and places inspired by Wales' past.

Return to Caerwyn

Successfully return with your spoils to store valuable equipment, trade, craft, cook, complete quests and prepare for your next journey beyond the gates.

Return Before Nightfall

The gates will not remain open forever. Keep an eye on the fading daylight, decide when you've pushed your luck far enough, and begin the journey home before it's too late.

Explore Beyond the Gates

Travel through forests, ruins, graveyards, abandoned settlements and other forgotten places. Hunt wildlife, gather resources, search for valuable equipment and uncover stories hidden throughout the world.

Fight to Survive

Face bandits, dangerous wildlife and powerful enemies using melee weapons and bows. Choose your fights carefully — sometimes returning alive with what you've found is more valuable than winning another battle.
