Grow Between Runs

Death is not the end of progress. Everything you earn carries forward into the next descent.

• Prophet Skill Tree: a deep passive tree with a chapter for every prophet. Earn Prophet experience from the shrines you favor and spend Talent Scrolls from bosses on build-defining keystones.

Weapon Mastery: every weapon levels on its own the more you fight with it, unlocking support nodes and a signature keystone.

• The Cipher Station: some loot drops with affixes you cannot read. Start deciphering and there is no backing out. You commit, then choose between the original roll and a hidden alternate. Whichever you keep comes out stronger.

• Capes: unlock a wardrobe of prophet-themed cloaks by mastering each prophet. Some carry a small edge in battle.

• A hideout that restores as you progress, the last standing corner of a fallen street, with a stash that carries between runs.

There was a kingdom called the Daughter of the Sea. Its strength was not armies. It was nine prophets, one sacred scripture called the Word, and a people who fed each other's cats. The man who kept the Word wanted the power it would never give him. So he took it, and he unmade the kingdom with it. The prophets had one failsafe left: a word that could never be written, and a stray cat to carry it. That cat is you.
