The Undergrowth is an online multiplayer survival experience where you begin life as a tiny, vulnerable creature in a massive ecosystem filled with danger, opportunity, and other players. Hunt, scavenge, grow, evolve, and carve your place in a brutal world where survival is never guaranteed.

Explore dense forests, dark underground tunnels, wetlands, cliffsides, rivers, and hidden nests as you battle both the environment and other players in intense PvP and PvE encounters. Every choice matters, whether you become a stealthy ambush predator, a territorial brute, or a fast-moving scavenger trying to stay alive another day.

Grow from hatchling to apex creature by managing hunger, thirst, stamina, injuries, and shelter while navigating a constantly changing ecosystem driven by real players and AI wildlife.

Survival in The Undergrowth is unforgiving.

Manage hunger, thirst, stamina, injuries, temperature, and exhaustion as you navigate a dangerous world where even smaller creatures can become deadly in the right situation. Search for safe water sources, protect your shelter, and avoid becoming prey while exploring a constantly evolving environment.

Weather, time of day, environmental hazards, and creature behavior all affect how you survive. Heavy rain may expose hidden tunnels while droughts can force predators and prey into the same shrinking water sources.

Death carries consequences, making every encounter meaningful.

Begin life as a weak juvenile and slowly grow into a powerful adult creature.

As you survive, hunt, and explore, your creature matures physically over time, unlocking improved abilities, increased strength, new behaviors, and expanded survival options. Your journey from vulnerable hatchling to apex predator is shaped by the choices you make and the dangers you overcome.

Every stage of life changes gameplay:

• Juveniles focus on stealth and survival

• Adolescents begin competing for territory and food

• Adults dominate through strength, speed, or intelligence

Staying alive long enough to fully mature is an achievement on its own.

The world of The Undergrowth is filled with danger from both players and AI creatures.

Engage in brutal PvP encounters over territory, nests, food sources, and survival. Ambush unsuspecting prey, defend your group, or stalk enemies through dense vegetation and underground tunnel systems.

AI wildlife creates additional threats and opportunities throughout the world. Some creatures may flee at the first sign of danger, while others aggressively defend territory or hunt in packs.

Combat is immersive and grounded, rewarding positioning, timing, awareness, and strategy over mindless attacks.

The ecosystem is alive and constantly changing.

Creature populations shift based on player activity, migration patterns, hunting pressure, and environmental conditions. Predators influence prey behavior while scavengers benefit from the aftermath of battles and hunts.

Players naturally shape the world around them:

• Overhunting can reduce prey populations

• Territorial creatures can dominate entire regions

• Group behavior changes how areas of the map evolve

• Migration and nesting patterns create unpredictable encounters

No two play sessions feel exactly the same.

Explore a massive world built around verticality, danger, and discovery.

Travel through:

• Dense forests

• Underground cave systems

• Rocky cliffsides

• Rivers and wetlands

• Abandoned burrows

• Hidden nesting grounds

• Dangerous open fields

Different environments support different creature behaviors and playstyles. Some creatures thrive in darkness and tight tunnels, while others rely on open terrain and speed to survive.

Secrets, hidden pathways, and environmental storytelling reward players willing to explore deeper into the world.

Customize your creature with detailed skin and appearance options.

Unlock and create unique skin patterns, colors, markings, and visual traits that allow you to stand out within the ecosystem. Blend into your environment with natural camouflage or create intimidating appearances that make your presence known.

Customization allows players to create creatures that feel personal while still fitting naturally into the world of The Undergrowth.

Future updates may expand customization with:

• Rare skin variants

• Seasonal cosmetics

• Pattern editors

• Creature-specific customization options

Survive alone or form groups with other players.

Create packs, colonies, hunting groups, or territorial alliances to increase your chances of survival. Cooperative gameplay allows players to coordinate hunts, defend nests, protect juveniles, and dominate territory together.

But trust is never guaranteed.

Betrayal, competition, and territorial conflict are always part of the ecosystem.

Every creature you encounter has its own goals and not all of them are friendly.

In The Undergrowth, you are not the hero.

You are simply another creature trying to survive in a world where everything is hunting something.
