BUILD A LIFE. LIVE WITH WHAT FOLLOWS.

LIVORA is a choice-driven modern life simulation where the different parts of your Life are connected.

Grow up, study, work, manage money, build relationships, find somewhere to live, start a family, pursue ambitions, deal with setbacks and decide what matters as the years pass.

There is no single route through LIVORA.

Your character might build a successful career, run a business, struggle financially, return to education, enter politics, move abroad, raise a family, own property, become involved in their community or take their Life in a completely different direction.

What happens in one part of your Life can affect another.

Work takes time. Relationships need attention. Housing costs money. Education can create opportunities. Health can disrupt plans. Family responsibilities can change what is realistic. Decisions made years earlier can still matter later.

You are not trying to complete a perfect Life.

You are deciding what to do with the one you have.

BEGIN YOUR LIFE YOUR WAY

Start from birth with Formative Years or begin with an established Adult Life.

Formative Years lets you experience childhood and adolescence rather than receiving a randomly invented past when adulthood begins.

Family, school, friendships, interests, confidence, qualifications, memories and important experiences build over time as your character grows.

As they become older, more of the world opens up. Education becomes more important, relationships develop, responsibilities increase and decisions about adulthood begin to appear.

At 18, the Life continues.

Your character keeps their family, relationships, education, memories and history as the full adult experience becomes available.

If you would rather begin there, Adult Life starts your character with believable existing circumstances so you can immediately begin making decisions around work, money, housing, relationships and everyday life.

MAKE A LIFE, NOT A BUILD

There are no fixed character classes and no correct sequence of milestones.

You might spend years chasing career progression and later decide it no longer matters.

You might build a business, lose it and start again.

You could remain single, build a large family, move several times, stay close to where you grew up or begin a new chapter somewhere completely different.

Your circumstances determine what makes sense at any particular moment.

A decision that works well for one Life may be a terrible choice for another.

WORK, CAREER AND BUSINESS

Build experience, apply for jobs and make career decisions as your character develops.

Qualifications, previous experience, reputation and circumstances can affect the opportunities available, while work itself competes with the rest of your Life for time and attention.

You are not limited to traditional employment.

LIVORA also supports business and self-employment, allowing your character to build something of their own while dealing with customers, workload, income, expenses, growth and the risks that come with running a business.

Careers can change too.

Redundancy, education, health, family circumstances or simply wanting something different can send your working Life in another direction.

MONEY IS PART OF THE LIFE AROUND IT

Your finances are connected to the choices you make.

Income has to compete with housing, bills, transport, education, family costs, debt and everyday spending.

Over time, you may build savings, use credit, invest, own property, buy vehicles or take on larger financial commitments.

Having more money can open possibilities, but it does not remove every problem.

And poor financial decisions can continue to matter long after the purchase that caused them.

PEOPLE HAVE THEIR OWN PLACE IN YOUR STORY

Friends, partners, relatives, classmates, colleagues, neighbours and other people can remain part of your Life over time.

Relationships can grow, change, weaken or end.

You may date, form a long-term partnership, marry, have children and build a household together.

Friendships can survive major changes in your Life, while people first met through school, university, work or the local community can remain important years later.

Family members also continue living their own Lives rather than existing only as statistics around the player.

The people surrounding your character can become just as important as the career or home they build.

EDUCATION THROUGHOUT LIFE

Learning can begin in childhood and continue decades into adulthood.

School, subjects, teachers, friendships and qualifications become part of Formative Years before later choices begin to appear.

Your character may continue through routes such as college, university, apprenticeships, vocational study, distance learning, evening courses, shorter programmes or professional training.

Different routes are designed around different experiences.

University can become a major multi-year period involving modules, assignments, exams, classmates, societies, accommodation and student finances.

An apprenticeship combines employment with training. Distance learning can fit around an existing Life. A short course does not need to consume years of your character's story.

Education also competes with work, relationships, health, family responsibilities and available time.

Completing a qualification may open opportunities, but it does not guarantee what happens next.

FIND SOMEWHERE TO CALL HOME

Where you live affects everyday Life.

Your character can rent, buy property, manage housing costs and move as their circumstances change.

Homes connect to finances, household members, work, travel and family Life rather than existing as a separate collection screen.

Property can also become part of your wider financial Life, while changing household circumstances may make a once-perfect home no longer suitable.

LIVE ACROSS A WIDER WORLD

LIVORA includes five fictional countries and 36 playable locations, including cities, towns, coastal communities and rural areas.

Choose where your Life begins and experience differences in housing, work, education, transport, services, climate and local opportunities.

You can also move later.

Moving somewhere nearby is different from starting a new Life abroad. International relocation can involve immigration requirements, applications, housing, employment, education, finances and the needs of partners or children.

Living abroad can become a long-term chapter of your Life, or circumstances may eventually bring you home again.

Where your character has lived remains part of their history.

LOOK AFTER MORE THAN YOUR CAREER

A Life does not happen entirely at work.

Health and wellbeing can affect what your character is able to do, while appointments, treatment and changing circumstances can become part of everyday planning.

Your character can also become involved in their community, pursue hobbies and personal interests, own pets, drive, travel, keep in touch with people, build a digital presence and take part in other parts of everyday Life.

Some characters may become deeply involved in politics and civic life, while others may never make it an important part of their story.

You decide which parts of the world matter to the character you are playing.

TIME FORCES YOU TO CHOOSE

Everything takes time.

Work, education, family, appointments, relationships, hobbies, travel and rest all compete for the same days.

Use the Day Planner, Calendar, Life Pace and Smart Time Advance to manage how quickly the Life moves and where your attention is needed.

Quieter periods can pass more quickly.

Important moments can slow the Life down.

Sometimes the question is not whether something would be good for your character.

It is whether they can realistically fit it into the Life they already have.

CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES — BUT THEY DO NOT DEFINE YOU FOREVER

LIVORA remembers what happened.

Careers, qualifications, relationships, homes, finances, places lived, important people and major events become part of your character's continuing history.

Some decisions create opportunities. Others create problems.

But a setback does not automatically decide the rest of the Life.

A failed course can be followed by another route. A lost job can lead to a different career. Financial trouble can be recovered from. A relationship ending does not mean another cannot begin.

Your history matters without becoming a script for your future.

SEE WHERE THE YEARS TAKE YOU

A Life can change considerably from where it started.

The child growing up in one household may eventually become a parent themselves.

A university student may later run a business.

Someone focused entirely on their career may eventually decide family or community matters more.

A character who never expected to leave home may spend years living in another country.

LIVORA is about seeing how those separate decisions gradually become the story of one person.

LEAVE SOMETHING BEHIND

Eventually, every character reaches the end of their Life.

The Ending Life Report looks back across what happened — the people, places, careers, education, finances, family, memories and decisions that became part of their story.

And the wider family story may continue.

Where an eligible child exists, you can move into the next generation and begin playing their Life.

They are not a copy of their parent.

They have their own identity, relationships, education, circumstances and history, while still belonging to the family story that came before them.

One Life can become the beginning of another.

BUILD A LIFE. LIVE WITH WHAT FOLLOWS.

There is no single ending to aim for and no checklist of milestones you have to complete.

Make decisions based on the Life in front of you.

Deal with what changes.

Change direction when you need to.

And see what kind of story is left when the years are over.
