Central to this pact were the twins—Utari and her older brother. While the boy was to be spared, Utari was destined to become the vessel for the goddess’s descent. However, driven by love and rebellion, the brother disrupted the ritual. This interruption provoked the goddess's fury, cursing both him and the entire village with perpetual suffering. In the midst of the turmoil, Utari fled to an orphanage, where the trauma erased her memories. Soon after her adoption, the goddess’s wrath obliterated the orphanage, leaving only echoes of the tragedy in its wake.
