About This Game

"All plants possess a spirit; their medicinal nature gives rise to emotion."

You enrolled in a university of Traditional Chinese Medicine not out of passion, but pragmatism—clinical medicine felt too intense, and you heard TCM was a decent career path. You rented a cheap, aging apartment near campus, expecting nothing more than four uneventful years of textbooks and herbal formulas.

Then you met her.

Linglan—a girl who claims to have awakened from the herbs themselves. Gentle, serene, and profoundly knowledgeable in the ways of medicine, yet utterly bewildered by the modern world. Planting, drying, grinding, decocting... her daily routines are a world apart from your own student life.

In the haze of herbal steam and quiet mornings, she gradually introduces you to the nature, flavors, and meridian affiliations of each herb; to the philosophy of treatment and the principles of healing. In return, you guide her through the noise of the modern age—helping her understand people, easing her loneliness, and showing her that she no longer has to endure the solitude of a thousand years.

As your days together unfold, your reliance on her deepens. And so does hers on you.

This is a warm, unhurried story of the everyday bond between a human and the spirit of the grass and trees.

Story

You only heard that studying medicine pays well, but you couldn't stand the pressure of clinical practice—so you chose Traditional Chinese Medicine on a whim. Unexpectedly, shortly after enrolling, you encounter a mysterious girl in your own apartment: a beautiful young woman who claims to have manifested from medicinal herbs.

That girl is Linglan.

Growing herbs, sun-drying them, grinding them in a mortar, brewing decoctions... Linglan's strange daily routines clash completely with your ordinary college life. Yet she gently walks you through the world of TCM, always staying by your side with quiet patience. And you, in turn, slowly bring this "old-fashioned" girl into the modern world—helping her blend into society and dispelling the loneliness she has carried for centuries.

Through days and nights spent together, you will gradually come to understand the properties, flavors, and meridian pathways of each herb; the therapeutic concepts and treatment principles of Chinese medicine. Your dependence on her grows deeper, just as her dependence on you grows—because she has had enough of a thousand years of solitude.

—This is a warm and lingering everyday tale between a human and the spirit of plants.
