You poor, doomed fool. You've stumbled upon Malefact, and now there's no going back.

What awaits you is the most gleefully unhinged genocide crusade ever unleashed! Damned or saved, guilty or innocent… who cares? Kill them all regardless! Your fate (and everyone else's, for that matter) is sealed. All that's left is to embrace it.

The Cursed Story So Far

You are Malefact: an undead mass murderer so vile that even the Devil thought it wiser to lock you away and throw away the key.

Once a Wild West serial killer who traded faith for devil worship, cannibalism, and unholy powers, your soul proved so monstrous that God and the Devil personally agreed to seal it in the deepest pit in all of Hell.

A century and a half later, the two have had a falling out (gasp), and God has decided to weaponize your wickedness. He speaks directly into your mind, offering restored powers, a chance at vengeance, and the first of the three Books of Doom. He notes you probably won't survive. He also knows you won't care.

He's right. Your genocide crusade against all of existence begins.

• No Hero. No Redemption. Only Malefact. Forget the brooding anti-hero. Malefact casts you as a supernatural serial killer who accepted dark powers from God, not for redemption, but because murder sounded more fun than damnation.

• An Arsenal Forged in Blood and Blasphemy. Your armory is as varied as it is vicious. Wield the Grim Reaper's own scythe and carve through the damned with the tools of Death itself!

• Command Evil Powers for Total Destruction. Why settle for generic power-ups when you can wield the raw power of Hell? The Books of Destruction are ancient artifacts of ruinous magic that let you unleash devastation worthy of a dark god.

• Pure Nightmare Fuel. Malefact is more than just another mindless boomer shooter. This is a slow, suffocating nightmare through sadistic levels where every shadow could hide something terrible. Every corridor drips with atmosphere as much as it does blood.

• Five Episodes of Escalating Annihilation. Your rampage begins in the Damnatorum, Hell's deepest prison for the worst sinners imaginable. From there, you'll tear through the burning countryside of the Infernal Planes, breach the gates of Hell, and emerge onto a doomed Earth ripe for extermination. And when nothing remains? Heaven itself awaits. Fifty levels across five episodes. No world is safe.

• Free Bonus Carnage. The bonus retro campaigns reimagine the game as a classic from the '90s, adding fifty new levels and doubling the total to one hundred.

• No Pity for the Feeble-Minded. Malefact refuses to insult your intelligence with the interactive babysitting found in modern titles. Good aim alone won't save you if you can't find your way out. No glowing objective markers or constant tutorials. Just you. Alone in the dark.

• Built to Last. Built for You. Most shooters come and go. Malefact is built for longevity. Full support for custom levels and mods means the carnage never has to end. Malefact runs on UZDoom, so if you've modded for that engine before, your skills carry over immediately.

• A Price Tag That Won't Bleed You Dry. While other studios inflate their egos by charging a small fortune for half-finished games, we prefer our extortion upfront. The price will creep up as we release new episodes, but it will always stay affordable.

• A Free Canvas for Sadistic Architects. 'Malefact: Community Edition' packs every weapon, monster, and blood-soaked asset into a free, standalone sandbox. While it excludes the official campaign, it gives you everything you need to build your own twisted levels or survive those created by others.

What are you waiting for? There are still survivors. Someone has to kill everything. Congratulations. It's you.
