Starbreaker is an open-world space sandbox about making your fortune at the edge of civilized space. Fly deep into procedurally generated asteroid fields wrapped around ringed planets and burning stars, crack rocks open with your mining laser, and haul the ore back through pirate-infested sectors. Bring a friend (or a few!) in online co-op!

MINE

Every asteroid is real, fully voxel based, minable rock. Scan the belt for glowing veins of Iron, Copper, Titanium, Platinum and rarer finds (such as the mysterious Vyrexium ore), then carve the ore out and watch the rock break apart under your beam. Sell your cargo at stations, upgrade your ship, and push into denser, richer, more dangerous fields.

FIGHT

You are not alone out here. Pirates prowl the profitable sectors, and every system has a danger rating - the deeper you go, the better the ore and the worse the company. Swap between plasma bolts, heavy cannons, missiles, and decoys on the fly, trigger Overdrive when things get desperate, and become a bounty hunter by hunting wanted bounties for some serious cash!

EXPLORE

A procedurally generated galaxy of star systems, ringed gas giants, moons, and stations - every world infinite, random, and persistent. Chart new systems, chase sensor contacts and mysterious frequencies/transmissions to derelict ships, hidden supply caches, and other mysterious, abandoned, or dangerous endeavors! Discovery pays: charting the unknowns of an infinite universe is a career of its own.

TOGETHER

Flip a switch and any of your worlds becomes an online co-op session. Prospect the same persistent belt with friends, watch each other's backs when the pirates show up, and split the fortune!

• Built-in photo mode for capturing your best finds (inspired by NVIDIA's Ansel, built into the Vyrex Engine specifically for Starbreaker)

• Fully customizable controls (in theory, you could even play with 1 finger...maybe?)

EARLY ACCESS, HONESTLY

The core game - mine, fight, sell, upgrade, explore, & co-op, is playable today, and it's what you're buying. On-foot astronauts and block based base/station & ship building are planned, and planet gameplay is extremely limited (you can orbit planets, and planets have a small safe zone around them at this moment in time).
