A series of heavy machinery failures and steep-slope accidents began the moment demolition work started. Development was completely halted, leaving the former Inumaki Estate abandoned. This beautiful mansion, blending Japanese and Western architecture with traces of Taisho Roman style, became an untouched ruin after its last residents departed 20 years ago.

The "defilement" engulfing the estate is far too complex; exorcism through ordinary means is impossible—. Taking the situation seriously, the shrine maiden of Inumaki Shrine asks "you"—a specialized investigator of paranormal anomalies—to pinpoint the "target coordinates" required for exorcism.

Your job is NOT to exorcise the spirits. It is to "record" the inconvenient truths lingering there as processable digital data using various verification devices.

"I will uncover the truth and record it. The shrine maiden will handle the rest."

Deep within the abandoned mansion where time stopped 20 years ago, can you record the fate rooted since the Taisho era and make it out alive?

■ Key Features

A Dual-Phase Investigation System Driven by Day and Night

Investigations differ significantly between day and night. Understand your role in each phase to prepare and conduct your research.

• [Day Phase] Free Exploration and Puzzle-Solving Across the Estate

Move freely through the quiet mansion blending Japanese and Western styles. Search for diaries, archives, and items left behind by former residents, while solving hidden gimmicks and ciphers to prepare for the night.

• [Night Phase] Immovable—Stationary Investigation with No Escape

From midnight to 6:00 AM, the true investigation begins. During the night, you must stay inside a single room and cannot move from your position. Remaining completely still is a calculated decision for an investigator:

  • To blend into the environment and erase your presence, making supernatural phenomena easier to induce.

  • To prevent unnecessary movement from creating noise or interference on delicate equipment.

Trapped in the pitch-black darkness, face escalating supernatural phenomena head-on and use your devices to observe and record them.

A Suite of Supernatural Verification Devices

In the dark of night, where you remain stationary to eliminate noise, your only reliance is the precise feedback from your investigation equipment.

• Trifield Meter (Phenomena Meter): The needle reacts sharply in the presence of spirits.

• Microphone Level Meter: Captures unusual environmental sounds and faint noises.

• Spirit Box: Listens for spiritual voices through radio static.

• Ghost Compass: Points toward the general direction of supernatural occurrences.

• Flashlight & UV Light: Illuminates the dark and reveals traces invisible to the naked eye.

Inducing Phenomena via "Relics"

Relics hidden deep within the estate—such as red shoes or dirty marbles found during the day—can be used at night to intentionally trigger stronger phenomena. Risk your safety to induce paranormal activity and complete high-value investigation data.

The Sanity-Eroding "Contamination" System

Staying in a room where phenomena are active will increase your Mental Contamination Level. As visual noise and heartbeats intensify, giving in to madness will cause you to lose consciousness before dawn (Game Over). Maintain your sanity, capture threats on camera, and bring back the data.

A Step-by-Step "Verification Report"

Recorded phenomena and discovered archives are compiled into a Verification Report. Gathering sufficient evidence advances you to the next investigation phase, unlocking new rooms and gradually revealing the history of the estate.
