About Pro Strategy Football

Pro Strategy Football is the ultimate American Football strategy experience, putting you in complete control as coach, general manager, league commissioner and fan!  This is a true coaching and franchise experience where every down is played out, every decision matters, and every season has its own story!

Test your skills against an uncheating, advanced AI or against a friend with Steam Remote Play Together, relive decades of football history with community-created mods, and enjoy unrivaled technical depth with play by play commentary and animated action.

Complete Experience

• Coach Your Way - Design plays in seconds, unlimited by canned playbooks.  Select formations, strong side, primary target (and pattern), play action, defensive line shifts, blitz packages, coverage schemes, everything!

• Uncompromising AI - Built from the ground up to adjust and out-think, not out-cheat, you, and improved every year from real users sharing their real experiences.

• True Play-by-Play Simulation Engine - Whether you quick sim a game or a full week or an entire season, every single down is played out, every snap, every matchup, no loose approximating.  And the outcome is completely unaffected by whether you watch the game as its played or turn off animation!

• Watch what You want - View full games as they're played or enjoy reviewing any past game of any season.  Relive key drives, watch any play, any game!

Game Modes

• Career / Franchise - Act as a team owner and/or League Commissioner, enjoy full multi-season franchise play with players retiring, rookie drafts, free agents, trading players and draft picks, and offseason realignment, where you can add teams, modify rules, and have teams change their artwork, stadiums, and more!

• Historic Careers - Replay football history year-by-year with historic rosters each season!

• Single Season - Enjoy a full season with any league, any team, and avoid all the franchise stuff.  Play a historic schedule or create a tournament!

• Exhibition Quick Games - Pick any two teams, even from different leagues, mix rules how you want, and even build custom situations!  It's 2nd and 25 on your own 25, in a snowstorm with 1:07 left in regulation, you have one timeout left and you're down by 4, can offense pull it out or can defense stand up for one more drive?  Set the weather, down, distance, everything related to a full situation and then play it or watch it!

Tremendous Depth for Coaches, GMs, and Stats Fans

• Deep Record Books - Track game, season, and career leaders across decades.  Dive into individual player histories, game logs, and full drives from past seasons.  View "Best of" lists and "Year by Year" category leaders!  New this year, view and modify Season Awards!

• Replay any Moment - Step into any past season, watch any game, review any drive or play!

• Injuries, Weather, and Penalties - Deal with them as in real life, or tweak them, even turn them off!

Expansive Options

• Deep in-game Editor - Create your own leagues with 2 to 140 teams, with fictional teams, or mirror your local high schools, set up a college or pro league, you name it!  Edit every team and every player, mix rules, everything makes a league unique (even which month their seasons start!).

• Pages of User Settings - PSF has more User options than can be listed in a full page!  Make the game the way YOU want to play it!

• Community Mods - PSF was designed with modding and customization in mind.  Community modders have created beautiful fictional mods and every professional mod from the 1940s to modern day!

New This Year!

PSF 2027 brings more immersion than ever!

• Playoff Picture & "What-If" Analysis - Playoff pictures and predictions add tension to every late game!  Instant playoff clinch/elimination tracking on schedule screens, plus dynamic scenario analysis ("Clinches division with a win") and retro-active tracking for past seasons.  Relive when your favorite team clinched a wildcard spot and then when they clinched their division!

• Annual Season Awards - The engine assigns season awards every season, all Player of the Year categories and positional awards, but you have the final say!  Your vote overrides, and you can even adjust past seasons!

• In-Game Audio Commentary - Full voice commentary announcing every down, supported by a reorganized audio structure for easier combinations of sound mods.

• Expanded Stat Tracking - Official Quarterback Fourth Quarter Comebacks (4QC) and Game-Winning Drives (GWD) integrated into logs, record books, and player histories.

• Enhanced Game Summaries - Improved game summaries now appear directly on the Weekly screen.  Easily check out which games were won in the closing seconds, which games were a slug fest, and more!
