A Roguelite Card Game About Real Hacking Tradecraft

Project RedTeam is a roguelite card based infiltration game where you run a hacker for hire agency and breach procedurally generated corporate networks using authentic offensive security tactics. Every run is a high pressure intrusion where you balance stealth, detection, containment, and earn money before defenders shut you down.

You advance through the network one foothold at a time while watching detection levels and adjusting to whatever the defenders throw at you.

The Gameplay Loop

You operate a private red team agency. Each run begins with selecting an operator, choosing a contract, building your starting loadout, and entering a procedurally generated corporate network.

From there you uncover the map and push deeper:

• Recon reveals adjacent nodes

• Initial Access provides your first foothold

• Credential Access unlocks lateral movement

• Lateral Movement expands your reach with reduced detection

• Privilege Escalation upgrades your access

• Persistence protects footholds

• Defense Evasion weakens detection capabilities

• Anti Forensics removes evidence

• Exfiltration and Ransom generate your payout

You chain tactics together to reduce detection and fill the Kill Chain Bonus gauge. Successful chains provide stronger rewards and better outcomes.

Detection and Containment

Every action carries risk. Failures increase detection. Clean hits slip past defenders. As detection rises, containment intensifies. Footholds burn, attack paths collapse, and objectives become harder.

If containment reaches 100 percent, defenders will quickly begin to remove you from the network and the contract may fail.

You can abort early if the payout is not worth the pressure. You can clean up artifacts before exiting or accept the fines.

Your agency grows across runs:

• Agency Protocols provide persistent modifiers

• Agency Plays offer powerful one time actions

• Operators have unique strengths and rarity tiers

Complete ten contracts to finish a standard campaign. Continue in Infinite Mode where difficulty keeps rising without a ceiling.

Failed runs still matter. You earn XP toward career progression and unlock Agency Resource Development modifiers that change the stakes of future campaigns.
