Loop Defense is a single-player sci-fi tower defense game. Build enemy routes with base walls, assemble a modular defense, manage limited loadouts, energy, and research, face armored, flying, carrier, and wall-breaker units across a star map, or challenge Endless Mode.
The peaceful takeover protocol is now active.
The official report calls this a low-risk operation. The core device is charging, counterattack forces are closing in from every entrance, and the budget office still wants to know why you need another turret.
Loop Defense is a single-player sci-fi tower defense game. Choose operations across a star map, build a defense for each site, and keep the core alive until the final wave is cleared.
BUILD THE ROUTE YOURSELF
The path is not fixed on the map.
Bases are both turret platforms and walls. Select a base, drag it into place, close one lane, and leave another open.
Every occupied cell recalculates the enemy route. Stretch the path to buy more firing time, or force enemies into the overlapping range of several turrets. You cannot seal every entrance. Within that limit, you decide where the route bends, where it narrows, and where the kill zone begins.
When a wall-breaker destroys a key empty base, the route changes immediately. A safe backline can become a new entrance in the middle of a wave.
BASES, MODULES, AND FACILITIES
Heavy Bases can absorb more structure damage. Electric Bases boost the modules installed on them. Water Bases allow specialized modules to operate on water maps.
Rapid, Cold, Pulse, Prism, Sniper, Flame, Electric, and Cannon modules each handle different ranges, speeds, and enemy groups. Torpedo and Tide modules add another set of tools for water routes.
Power plants generate energy during waves. Recyclers provide income after a successful wave. Assembly plants keep sending friendly machines toward the front.
You are not filling empty ground with towers. You are laying out a base that can be attacked, repaired, and broken open.
LOADOUTS AND RESEARCH
Before each mission, choose what to bring from the modules you have unlocked.
Loadout slots are limited. So are energy and research points. Bring more bases, or specialize against armored and flying units? Unlock a new weapon, or push an existing module down an upgrade branch?
The research and protocol networks carry these choices into later operations. New modules, upgrades, and high-risk contracts open over time. You decide what the current mission needs and what the next one might demand.
THE ENEMY WILL USE YOUR LAYOUT AGAINST YOU
Enemies do not wait their turn.
Fast units compress the remaining route. Armored units need armor-piercing fire. Splitters create more targets. Jammers disrupt normal defenses. Flying units ignore ground routes. Carriers bring new enemies into the back half of the map. Command units strengthen entire groups.
Wall-breakers attack empty bases along the route and can make the enemy path suddenly shorter. Boss waves bring all the problems you postponed into the same fight.
WAVE CONTRACTS
Before each wave, choose a contract.
Make the enemy faster. Add reinforced armor. Call in an early carrier drop. Order a wall audit. Freeze kill income until the wave ends.
The reward is written down. So is the risk. The more dangerous the contract, the better the payout. Whether the next reward is worth pushing your defense to the limit is up to you.
THE STAR MAP
After each successful takeover, return to the star map. Collect research, expand the protocol network, and unlock new modules, upgrade branches, and contracts.
Each planet brings a different set of problems. Water, bridges, and landing points change how routes can be built. Multiple entrances and enemy barracks split your firepower. Magnetic routes give ground enemies a metal outer shell when they take the long way around.
Every map can be planned again. The solution that worked last time may not survive the next operation.
