A scientific blunder tears open a portal, and the Hedra pour through. Build a shifting collider from six tile shapes, grow monster dice, complete patterns, battle rival Overlords, and devour physicists in this solo digital board game.
Ready or not, here they come!
At the Large Hadron Collider, a team of physicists pushes an experiment a little too far and opens a portal into another dimension. Behold! The Hedra come pouring through: hungry, bad-tempered, interdimensional polyhedral monsters led by rival Overlords. You are one of those Overlords! Seize the collider, complete your objectives, eat the physicists, and escape before the whole facility tears itself apart.
Hedra is the digital edition of an original physical board game developed and refined over ten years. It brings tile laying, dice combat, card play, unique spatial pattern building, and tactical movement to a board that grows differently every game.
The digital edition handles the setup, rules, bookkeeping, and CPU turns (your computer opponents are very, very nasty, btw...), leaving you to concentrate on the wonderfully strange puzzle spreading across the table.
Build the collider as you play
Place Room Tiles to expand the facility one piece at a time. Every placement changes the routes across the collider and may complete one of your Room Pattern cards. A completed pattern can score Victory Points or bring a new Hedra die onto the board, giving you an immediate choice between points and power.
The digital tile supply contains 216 Room Tiles:
80 triangles, where new Hedra dice enter the collider
80 squares, where physicists can be found and consumed
28 hexagons, which supply Hedra Fight cards
16 octagons, which reveal Hedra Effects
10 dodecagons, which interact with Facility Effects
2 icosagons, rare rooms capable of major upgrades
The shapes tessellate in unusual ways, so a promising pattern can emerge from a tiny gap, a long chain of rooms, or a tile your opponent placed for entirely different reasons. There are 72 Room Pattern cards to chase, ranging from compact arrangements to sprawling geometric projects.
Grow monsters. Eat scientists (Hedra love scientists... they're delicious!).
Your Hedra are represented by polyhedral dice: d4s, d6s, d8s, d12s, and d20s. Move them through the collider, consume physicists to grow into larger forms, and send them into rooms occupied by enemy Hedra.
Fights account for die size, current health, room effects, and the cards played during combat. The game includes 32 Hedra Fight cards, 32 Hedra Effect cards, and 32 Facility Effect cards, giving each match plenty of opportunities for clever timing and sudden trouble.
Every Overlord has a plan
Ten Hedra Overlord cards provide endgame goals tied to patterns, room shapes, and control of the collider. Your Overlord can turn an ordinary-looking position into a valuable long-term project, while the other Overlords pursue plans of their own.
Play solo against one to five computer-controlled rivals. CPU Overlords can use different strategic approaches, including pattern building, aggressive movement, immediate scoring, combat, Overlord objectives, and the dangerous rush for an icosagon.
Get out before it blows
Once an Overlord reaches the Victory Point threshold, the collider enters a self-destruct countdown. Everyone gets a few final turns to complete patterns, start fights, consume physicists, grab last-minute points, and reach the Lobby. The board starts coming apart. There is still time to win.

This game is not available yet as an actual physical board game. I have a few copies of it that I've made. Maybe one day it will be. If you're an interested publisher, don't hesitate to reach out.
