Build a sovereign nation on an empty ocean platform. Manage citizens, resources, trade, diplomacy, propaganda, philanthropy, and war in a satirical strategy game where every choice helps train the artificial intelligence that will judge your civilization.
BUILD A NATION FROM ALMOST NOTHING
You begin with an empty artificial platform off the coast of Florida, a small treasury, and the extremely reasonable conviction that you should be allowed to found your own country.
Expand the platform tile by tile. Generate power, secure water and food, attract citizens, assign workers, research new technologies, construct industries, and transform a lonely slab in the ocean into a functioning sovereign state.
Platform Nation is a satirical single-player strategy game combining city building, resource management, political simulation, trade, diplomacy, and real-time combat.
MAKE THE PLATFORM FUNCTION
Every building is part of a larger system.
Build solar arrays and power plants to keep the nation running. Operate desalination plants, farms, factories, oil infrastructure, research facilities, banks, docks, tourism businesses, media operations, military defenses, and increasingly questionable nuclear projects.
Citizens must be assigned where they are needed. A brilliant economic plan can still collapse because nobody is operating the power plant.
Manage resources including:
Treasury
Materials
Power and fuel
Water and food
Research
Population
Stability
Followers
International relations
BUILD AN ECONOMY, OR SOMETHING RESEMBLING ONE
Trade for critical supplies. Mine cryptocurrency. Attract tourists. Refine petroleum. Manufacture goods. Build an offshore bank. Grow a global media following. Invest enormous amounts of money and confront the unsettling difference between a million, a billion, and a trillion dollars.
Platform Nation’s economy begins with desperate improvisation and can grow into a machine of extraordinary wealth, influence, or instability.
How that machine operates is up to you.
GOVERN THROUGH CHOICES AND CONSEQUENCES
Political crises, strange visitors, labor disputes, international demands, cults, financial schemes, humanitarian emergencies, and other complications arrive through illustrated choice events.
Your decisions can affect resources, citizens, diplomatic relations, future events, and the direction of the entire campaign.
Some choices solve a problem.
Others create a much funnier problem several months later.
DEFEND YOUR SOVEREIGNTY
Foreign pressure does not always remain diplomatic.
Build turrets and drone ports, train citizens as reservists, and prepare defenses before an intervention begins. Launch FPV drones directly, repel hostile gunboats, and protect the nation you constructed.
Combat is powerful, immediate, and destructive. Citizens can panic, buildings can be damaged, and violence can produce consequences that cannot be converted neatly back into numbers.
DECIDE WHAT POWER IS FOR
Platform Nation is not only about whether your country survives. It is about what kind of country you create.
Pursue wealth, influence, military security, nuclear power, philanthropy, technological progress, or some unstable mixture of all six.
Eventually, your civilization may construct the First Model, an artificial intelligence trained not by what you told it, but by what you repeatedly demonstrated.
Your campaign becomes its education.
What it learns determines what comes next.
