Found a city. Begin a fable.

Hearth Fable is an ink-wash city-building simulation set in an ancient Chinese world. Settle an untamed land cradled by mountains and seas, and grow it from a humble thatched hut into a bustling metropolis — one tree felled, one stone quarried, one decree issued at a time.

From Village to City Everything begins with a single thatched hut in the wilderness. Chop trees, mine stone, gather resources, and build to light the path of your settlement's growth — upgrade your homes, raise your gates, and awaken a hundred trades until walls rise and caravans come. Your name, and this city's, will be written into the land itself.

A Hundred Trades to Master Raise structures to lay foundations. Draw from mountain and stream. Nurture crafts to grow industry. Care for your people to keep them content. Govern the city's affairs, fortify its defenses, and study blueprints to unlock new wonders. From a single brick to a city-wide policy, the art of governance lives in every decision.

Every Mouth Must Be Fed How many days will your food last? Is your treasury in the red or the black? How many idle hands do you have — and beds enough to sleep them? Every number on the screen carries the fate of your city. Ledgers, rosters, and job assignments put the whole city in your hands.

Time Flows with the Seasons The world keeps time by ancient hours — day and night turn, the four seasons wheel, and spring's blossoms give way to autumn's harvest. Switch speed at will and build at your own pace, from leisurely to breakneck.

The Law and the Land, Yours to Command Issue decrees, study the map, and chronicle the hundred trades in your codex. From resources to governance, every choice belongs to you.

An Easy First Step Follow the guidance and take your first steps — a 46-step tutorial leads you safely to your first city. And with three ways to begin — Leisurely, with abundant resources; Ordinary, with a balanced hand; or Daunting, where every resource is scarce — there's always a chapter suited to how you play.
