About the Creators of A Glimmer

We are an independent team made up of film and television practitioners passionate about games. Interactive film games represent a new direction for content creation that we firmly believe in. A Glimmer is a project we have carefully developed for over two years. It is our debut work, but by no means our last. With limited funding and experience, we sincerely invite all players to share your valuable feedback with us via our creator QQ group and email after playing!

About the Game

The War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression is a memory etched deep into the soul of the Chinese nation. This time, from the first-person perspective of an ordinary individual — you — we look back on that era marked by both humiliation and resistance, confronting the brutality of war and the complexity of human nature. No choice is absolutely right or wrong; there are only consequences that you must bear.

In the war for our homeland, the hardest battle is to figure out who you truly are.

China, 1940. Three years after the fall of Nanjing, flames of war lit by invaders rage across North China. You collapse by a riverbank, bleeding heavily, your mind hazy and your memory wiped clean. When you wake again, you clutch a parcel containing: a gun, a letter, and an old magazine titled A Glimmer. The letter orders you to assassinate a traitorous warlord, while the magazine serves as your identity credential.

There is only one problem — you have no idea who you are.

A name can be a weapon. A name can also be a grave.

Are you Wang Qiming, the underground agent burdened with a vital mission?

Are you Wang Jiu, the bandit who survived in the outlaw dens?

Are you Guisheng, the young man who once protected his sister deep in the mountains?

Or are you simply the sum of every choice you make amid this chaotic world?

• First-person, cinematic immersive experience, shot on-location with real actors.

• Multi-branched narrative and multiple endings — every choice you make forges a distinct path.

• Spy thriller rooted in historical context, where personal grievances intertwine with the survival of the nation.

• Subtle shifts in character relationships driven by emotional leanings instead of stat systems.

• Nothing is purely right or wrong; only consequences you have to face.
