Your transport is not on the schedule. The file contains no name and no charges. Even so, the cameras are already tracking you, and the staff behave as if everything is proceeding according to plan.

PROCEDURE ZERO is a first-person prison horror where the institution is the enemy. You carry no weapon and you never kill anyone. You survive by learning the building's rhythm — and by being somewhere else when it looks your way.

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY DO

• Read the routine. Learn what gives you away: sightlines, noise, and the places you are not supposed to be.
  
• Create an opening. Use sound, radios and thrown objects to pull attention somewhere else.
  
• Count the cost. Energy limits how long you can run and stay sharp. Cigarettes are currency. Getting caught takes what you carry, never your right to try again.
  
• Listen to people. Conversations, favors and influence uncover what no sign will ever tell you.
  
• Check the record. Notes and traces in the world say more than the announcements. Decide for yourself who — and what — to believe.

DO NOT FIGHT THE SYSTEM. SURVIVE IT.

The prison follows its own rules. The problem is that none of them can explain your presence.
