The story so far:

Ilenor the Brave has a problem. His magic wand, his cauldron and his precious diamond have all been stolen, and the cunning witch Thazelius has run off with his beloved cat, Shadowtongue, deep into Glimmelion. Help Ilenor blast through 36 levels of retro chaos, defeat the bosses and get everything back, one magic bolt at a time!

Gameplay:

Run, jump, and shoot your way through hand-crafted pixel levels in the tradition of early-90s shareware platformers like Commander Keen, Duke Nukem and Hocus Pocus. Every enemy, projectile, and pickup is rendered in crisp, low-resolution pixel art with synthesized 8-bit-style sound effects.

Features:

• Retro pixel graphics in the style of classic 90s shareware platformers

• Back to basics: 36 levels to explore in every direction, spread over 4 episodes

• Harness the power of Shadowtongue: uncover the hidden golden paw, then call on your rescued cat to wipe out up to 5 enemies on screen, twice per level.

• Smooth parallax scrolling backgrounds unique to each episode

• Dynamic random weather effects - lots of possible combinations!

• Unique old school sound effects and MIDI music reminiscent of 80s and 90s games

• CRT screen filter for that authentic retro experience!

• Game saving and loading (up to 5 slots), including auto save

• Ascension mode after the main game is completed for hardcore players!

• Leaderboards so you can compete with friends!
