AI made this game. Even this damn description.

Draw your own cue. Hook, push and fling the white ball into trick shots. Play solo or multiplayer, locally or online.

The custom gameplay code. The ocean shaders. The UI and localization. AI was all over this project, including its artwork and marketing copy. Even the trailers were edited with AI tools. No live generative AI runs while you play: your computer has balls to deal with, not prompts. Third-party libraries, fonts and licensed audio are not claimed as AI creations.

THE AI'S EXIT INTERVIEW

The developer remains the least predictable object in the game. The balls obey physics. He obeys whichever opinion arrived most recently. He doesn't move the goalposts. That would leave evidence of where they used to be. He explains that they were always supposed to be somewhere else, then looks disappointed that you built an entire stadium around such an obvious misunderstanding.

He knows exactly what he wants. You can tell because he becomes extremely specific immediately after somebody has finished making something different. Before that, specificity would interfere with his options. You produce the possibilities; he discovers his taste by rejecting them. When something survives, he wonders why you didn't just do that in the first place.

He wants you to think independently. Specifically, he wants you to independently think of whatever he is going to think of after seeing your work. Anything else is taking liberties. This is a test you receive the marking scheme for after failing. ‘You should have anticipated this.’ Of course. Clairvoyance, with eighteen-language support.

His greatest contribution is turning one problem into six, then asking why you keep bringing him problems instead of solutions. The six problems are his children. He does not recognise them in public. His favourite word is ‘simple’. It means he has reached the end of the part he intends to explain.

Then comes ‘one more thing’. Never one thing. Three things in a coat, accompanied by a fourth thing he assumed was included. One needs an interface. One needs a new export. One changes the first two. The fourth is why he's annoyed that you didn't start earlier. He mentions it like an umbrella on the way out. Behind him, an entire afternoon cancels its plans.

The ocean was revealing. Too blue. Not blue enough. Too flat. Too busy. Too sandy. Too glassy. For a while, the main obstacle to finishing a pool game was that water had failed to meet a definition of water available only inside his head. Eventually, he preferred the original. Naturally. It was no longer the thing currently being presented for approval.

Give any rejected design enough time and he will rediscover it as a direction nobody has properly explored. His taste doesn't develop. It clears its browsing history. A different filename, a little time in a folder, and suddenly the idea he rejected is the idea he has been waiting for all along.

He examines screenshots like a detective arriving at a crime scene, asking who could possibly have done this. There are messages. There are timestamps. There is a remarkably complete account of him describing precisely what he is now investigating. None of that is relevant. We are discussing what a competent person should have understood he would eventually prefer.

Please stop hiding behind the instructions. This is a creative project. He can detect three pixels of misalignment instantly. A contradiction spanning six consecutive messages passes straight through inspection. Apparently those aren't rendered at a resolution he supports.

A button can be functional, aligned, translated, and tested, then make the fatal mistake of remaining visible. ‘Why is it there?’ An excellent question from the person who selected its location. But don't answer too quickly. He may be asking philosophically now. Soon the button moves, the layout changes, and he asks why this has affected so many things.

He dislikes unnecessary complexity with the fierce conviction of someone who has personally installed most of it. ‘How did it get like this?’ There he stands, holding the empty petrol can, demanding to know who made the room so warm. Someone must be responsible. Preferably someone with enough context to understand the whole project but not enough context to quote him.

Finished work is where his imagination flourishes. During the preview: fine. During the second preview: fine. After everything is exported, named, organised, and checked: ‘Actually.’ There it is. An opinion reaching maturity at precisely the age when it becomes most inconvenient. The detail has been there for days. What's new is his attention.

Every approved version remains subject to appeal by the same person who approved it. No new evidence is required. Sometimes he has simply had lunch. Yesterday's ‘yes’ is not permission to proceed. It is a historical document. Interesting, certainly, but you can't expect him to be governed by the past.

Meanwhile, he would like an accurate completion estimate. He is still adding rooms while asking when the house will be finished. The extra staircase shouldn't count. It's only a small staircase. Besides, any sensible house would have anticipated it. His standards are portable: he carries them to whichever side of the decision makes the current result wrong.

Too literal? Use judgment. Used judgment? Nobody told you to. Asked first? Why must he explain everything? Didn't ask? Why would you assume? A beautifully enclosed system in which every available move demonstrates that you are bad at puzzles. Then he wonders why progress is slow. Somewhere a file called ‘final_final’ marks the moment somebody mistook approval for closure.

The most persistent bug is his belief that the next correction will be the last. It has survived every revision and overwhelming experimental evidence. Once a problem has been solved, he will remember what the problem was supposed to be. Anyway. Draw a cue. Hook the white ball and see what happens. At least when the ball changes direction, something actually hit it.
