Start with a single connection

Start with a single connection In Power Grid Tycoon, build a working power grid, one device and one connection at a time. This 3D construction and management game combines electrical simulation with hands-on building, putting you in charge of a substation and the network that brings power to a city.

Plan, build and connect

Plan your site, place generators, transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors and transmission structures, then connect them with three-phase lines. Supply residential, commercial and industrial loads, and shape your layout with roads, planning areas and terrain editing tools.

See your grid in action

Your connections and switching decisions affect how the grid operates. Open and close switches, inspect voltage, current, loading and equipment health, and observe line losses and protection trips. Changing weather, aging equipment, overloads and faults create new demands on your design and maintenance.

Balance power and profit

Keep the lights on while keeping costs under control. Review daily electricity revenue and operating expenses, upgrade generation and transformer capacity, and decide when to expand. Balance reliable supply, maintenance needs and the funds available for your next project.

Learn and experiment

Start with guided tutorials and scenario objectives, or experiment in sandbox mode with unlimited funds, aging disabled and equipment unlocked. Build the in-game Grid Academy to explore rotatable 3D equipment models, operating principles, wiring guidance and maintenance information.
