**Gobillions** is a fortress-building tower defense game about holding back an overwhelming goblin horde. Raise your defenses, develop an arsenal of steel and sorcery, and keep your castle standing as enemies pour through the mountain passes.

**Build a fortress worth defending.** Draw walls across the terrain and position towers to cover the approaches. Use narrow passes to concentrate your fire, protect vulnerable positions, and leave room for another line of defense. Prepare before the assault, then turn gold earned from fallen goblins into the reinforcements you need.

**Choose how your defenses evolve.** Start with archers and mages, then follow branching upgrades into crossbowmen, siege engines, cannons, and powerful spellcasters. Research new units, improve your firepower, and reinforce your walls through a shared skill tree. Each tower’s promotion choices are permanent, so build a combination that works together.

**Break the horde before it breaks through.** Pierce packed ranks with ballista bolts, bombard them with artillery, and slow their advance with magical fields. Combine focused attacks with crowd control and area damage to keep the pressure off your walls.

**Survive the collapse.** Your fortifications can be battered apart. Towers fall, walls shatter, and falling masonry crushes the goblins beneath it. A collapse can buy you a moment of breathing room while opening a dangerous route toward your keep. Protect your strongest positions and adapt when the line gives way.
