FLAKRIG is a 2D retro sci-fi extraction tower defense game about overwhelming firepower, impossible odds, and knowing when to cut your losses. Establish an off-world mining operation, construct devastating defenses, and hold back tens of thousands of alien insects while your drill extracts valuable resources. Stay too long, and you might lose everything.

MASSIVE INSECT SWARMS

The sky is alive, and everything in it wants your drill destroyed.

Face enormous, dynamically moving swarms of flying alien insects across hostile extraterrestrial landscapes. Watch thousands of enemies surge through terrain, overwhelm defensive positions, and disappear beneath a storm of bullets, flak, fire, and energy weapons.

Every kill buys you time. Every second buys you resources. But the swarm never stops coming.

BUILD YOUR DEFENSIVE LINE

Deploy 13 specialized defensive turrets, from rapid-fire miniguns and heavy flak batteries to flamethrowers, missile systems, and devastating energy weapons. Each tower serves a different purpose, with individual technology trees and upgrades that change how your defenses perform.

Configure targeting priorities, prioritize specific enemy classes, and build overlapping fields of fire to counter increasingly dangerous swarms.

When your defenses begin to fail, call upon 7 tactical ordnance strikes to turn the tide.

DRILL. SURVIVE. EXTRACT.

The objective isn't to kill every insect. It's to get rich and get out alive.

Drop onto hostile worlds and protect your mining drill as it extracts valuable resources from beneath the surface. The longer you remain, the greater your potential reward and the greater the danger.

Extract early and secure your profits, or hold your position for one more haul as your perimeter collapses.

Know when to stay. Know when to leave.

RUN YOUR OWN ILLEGAL MINING OPERATION

Every successful extraction is an opportunity to grow your company.

Sell recovered resources, invest in new defensive technologies, improve your equipment, and prepare for more dangerous operations. Balance the cost of deploying powerful defenses against the profits you hope to bring home.

Expand your arsenal and develop the capabilities needed to survive increasingly hostile worlds.

42 MISSIONS. HOSTILE WORLDS. ESCALATING THREATS.

Work your way through a 42-mission campaign featuring varied planetary environments, unique terrain layouts, and increasingly dangerous enemy encounters.

Adapt your defensive strategies as new insect classes emerge, from fast-moving swarms of light fliers to heavily armored threats that can tear through an unprepared perimeter.

Follow the unfolding story of your mining operation through incoming communications as you venture into more dangerous and profitable territory.
