Welcome to your rug-tufting studio

Tuftwood is a relaxing crafting game about making rugs by hand, one satisfying stitch at a time. Neighbors drop by with a request, a sunny-side-up coaster for the café, a frog for a reading nook, a mushroom bath mat for a very serious bathroom — and you take each rug all the way from an empty frame to the customer's floor.

The whole craft, start to finish

• Stretch the cloth drum-tight, trace the design from the projector and tuft it from the back, stitch by stitch.

• Check your work against the light, spread the glue, press on the backing and cut the rug out along its shape.

• Flip it over for the big reveal, shave the pile even, carve crisp lines between the colors and lint-roll away the fluff.

• Deliver it to the customer's home and see how they react.

Grow your studio

• More than 20 commissions from a cast of friendly customers, from tiny mug rugs to big living-room rugs.

• Earn coins and reputation to unlock new yarn colors and better tools: a faster gun, a wider shaver, an electric carver, a cut-and-loop gun and a bigger frame.

• Make the studio yours with plants, lamps, string lights, a shelf of yarn cones  and a cat who naps by the frame.

Make your own rugs

• Turn any picture into a rug pattern: pick the shape, the size and the yarns, then tuft it yourself.

• Choose from a pattern book of original designs.

• Hang your favorites on the Studio Wall, or sell them at the Weekend Market.

Made to relax and to share

• No timers and no fail states: take your time, and every rug is graded kindly.

• Clip Mode and a vertical capture window make it easy to record and share your most satisfying moments.

• Fully playable in 31 languages.
